INTRODUCTION

Hello, my name is Rory. I’ve been teaching English for several years now and began my vocation in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Italy, just outside the city of Siena. From that point on, I began teaching English regularly over the summers, particularly, in the United Kingdom. I was later hired for a full-time ESL teaching position in Toronto in early 2016 and have been teaching many students since then. I teach everything from Kindergarten to Grade12 in a publicly funded school, and also teach English lessons to adults at Language Links.

INTRODUCTION

My name is Amanda and I am from Canada. I recently returned from teaching English in Indonesia for the last two years. My students were aged 3 and up and I hope they learned as much from me as I did from them! My love of languages started years ago when I did a student exchange to Spain so I can relate to what students are going through when they are learning a new language. I believe the opportunities provided by learning English are endless and I am excited to be part of that journey and to get to know so many different people in the process. Learning English should be fun!

INTRODUCTION

Hello, my name is Vanessa and I’m from Toronto, Ontario Canada. I graduated from the University of Toronto’s TESOL Certificate Program and have a background in science and healthcare. I became an English as a second language teacher because of my love of teaching and learning. I love meeting new people from all over the world and various cultural backgrounds. In my classroom, you’ll find a safe and supportive learning environment that emphasizes student centred learning and fun. My teaching philosophy is centred around helping students find their voices in English as a second language. Thus, helping students achieve their own personal goals for learning English. I hope you enjoyed learning about me. See you in a classroom in the near future!

INTRODUCTION

Hello. My name is Paul and I am an English and French teacher who lives in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. I look forward to meeting all of my new students working for Language Links. Learning a new language is a skill, and that means we need to practice. How, you say? We will focus on your speaking, reading, and writing. We will always try and use our English to communicate in all three of these areas. It can be a little bit of work, but it can also be fun. Always remember, if you have a question, you should always ask. Someone else in the class might have the same question and be afraid to ask. Never be afraid to learn. See you soon!

INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone,

My name is Dave, and I currently reside in Toronto, Canada. I have been an ESL teacher for almost 20 years. My adventure teaching English started in a small village just north of Seoul, South Korea. In Korea, I was the head kindergarten teacher. I loved teaching children. From Korea, I moved to Japan and lived in a city outside of Tokyo called Ichikawa. I taught adults and children there. 16 years ago, I moved back to Toronto where I mainly teach adults. I have taught all levels from beginner to advanced. I have also taught business English as well, but my specialty is test prep courses, specifically IELTS. I am currently an English examiner, and I have written two textbooks for the IELTS test. I hope to see you in my class soon.
